Scotland picked up their first ever International Shinty/Hurling win at Croke Park with goals from Victor Smith and Ronald Ross.

The Irish side struggled with not being allowed to handle the sliotar, within the rules of the game, and the visitors' superior ground-striking saw them come out on top.

Kerry's John Griffin goaled on the quarter-hour to level the game at 1-01 to 0-04, but Smith crashed a shot to the roof of Graham Clarke's net to leave the Scots six points clear at the break.

Kildare man Paudie Reidy, teed up by James Glancy, added a second goal for Sean Silke's side in the 66th-minute, however Ross dribbled home the clinching goal for Scotland seconds later.
