Limerick have included championship debutant Ger Collins in their team for Saturday's All-Ireland SFC qualifier against Louth (Gaelic Grounds, throw-in 7pm).

Collins, who gained his first NFL start against Cork in April, has been drafted into the side at wing forward. The Milford clubman played both hurling and football for the Limerick minors in 2005 and 2006.

In all, manager Mickey Ned O'Sullivan has made four changes to the Limerick side that lost to Cork in May's Munster SFC quarter-final.

Collins and Andrew Lane come in for injured duo Shane Gallagher and Stephen Lavin, while Darren Horan has been preferred to John Cooke in the full-forward line.

The other switch sees Tim Cahill reverting from half-forward to half-back to take the place of Pat Ahern, with Mike Crowley coming into the attack.

Limerick's last competitive meeting with Louth was at the semi-final stage of the 2006 NFL Division Two campaign - Louth ran out comfortable 2-13 to 1-9 winners that day in Newbridge.

The Shannonsiders' All-Ireland challenge was ended in the second round of last year's qualifiers. They lost by 0-13 to 1-9 to Westmeath in Mullingar.

LIMERICK (SFC v Louth) - S Kiely; D Carroll, J McCarthy, A Lane; T Cahill, T Brown, P Ranahan; T Carroll, J Galvin; G Collins, J Ryan, S Buckley; M Crowley, D Horan, M Reidy.
