Government defence plans under fire
The Taoiseach has admitted that the Government is experiencing major difficulties in preparing for the threat of biological attacks.
Bertie Ahern was responding to sharp criticism from opposition leaders following reports that anthrax plans announced yesterday are a shambles.
He stated Ireland and other European countries were coming from a position where few biological defence plans were in place prior to September 11.
