Fermanagh will face either Clare or Wicklow in the Football League Division 4 final, after claiming their seventh win in eight games this afternoon.

Peter Canavan's Ernesiders beat Carlow by 1-16 to 0-8 at Dr Cullen Park. Four first half points from Daniel Kille helped the visitors take a comfortable 0-12 to 0-2 interval lead.

Tomas Corrigan, Conor Quigley, Barry Mulrone, Eamon Maguire and Paul Ward contributed Fermanagh's other scores.

Carlow bounced back on the restart with four unanswered points inside a 15-minute spell, with Brian Murphy, Daniel St. Ledger and free-taker JJ Smith (0-2) on target to cut the gap to six points.

A Kille pointed free was Fermanagh's first score of the second half, but with 13 minutes left on the clock just five points separated the sides.

Kille and Corrigan landed points before Corrigan netted the lone goal of this game. He found the net after a Kille penalty was blocked by Carlow goalkeeper Andrew O'Brien.

Meanwhile, Wicklow ran out 1-16 to 0-12 winners over London at Ruislip today.

The sides were tied at 0-9 apiece after 46 minutes following a John McGrath score for Wicklow, but the visitors took total control after that.

Seanie Furlong was in impressive form with an trio of unanswered points, helping the Garden County side lead by 0-16 to 0-10 with six minutes left on the clock.

London cut the deficit to four points late on, but a 72nd minute penalty goal from Leighton Glynn ensured a seven-point win for his side.

That result sets up a winner-takes-all encounter for Wicklow against Clare next weekend.

Clare recorded a 2-29 to 1-4 victory over lowly Kilkenny at Cusack Park in Ennis this afternoon.

The Banner men led by 1-19 to 0-1 at half-time and collected a second goal through Mike Foran with 10 minutes remaining.

In Carrick-on Shannon, Leitrim recorded a 0-14 to 1-8 triumph over Waterford.

Having trailed by 0-5 to 0-1 early on, Waterford bounced back to cut the deficit to a point following a Liam O'Lionnain goal. However, Leitrim held out for victory.
