Campbell conundrum for Wenger

Arsene Wenger must decide whether to give Sol Campbell his third game in a week for tomorrow’s Barclays Premiership clash with Charlton at Highbury.

Arsene Wenger must decide whether to give Sol Campbell his third game in a week for tomorrow’s Barclays Premiership clash with Charlton at Highbury.

The England centre-back only returned from a Achilles injury to make his first appearance of the season against Manchester City last weekend and played against Rosenborg in the Champions League in midweek. However, Wenger may choose to rest the 30-year-old against the Addicks with Pascal Cygan ready to step in.

The Arsenal manager must also decide whether to recall Dennis Bergkamp to the attack. Jose Reyes came into the middle against Rosenborg but could move back out to left midfield tomorrow.

Robert Pires failed to have a major impact in midweek, and could find himself the player to make way for a reshuffle. Brazilian midfielder Gilberto Silva remains out for several weeks with a back problem, so Edu will again play in the centre.

PROVISIONAL SQUAD: Lehmann, Almunia, Taylor, Lauren, Hoyte, Campbell, Cole, Clichy, Toure, Cygan, Senderos, Vieira, Edu, Fabregas, Flamini, Reyes, Ljungberg, Pennant, Bergkamp, Henry, van Persie.
