Villagers along the India-Pakistan border have reportedly started leaving their homes as both countries move closer to fighting another war. India has moved nuclear-capable weapons to areas along the border and Pakistan has also boosted its border patrols.
Both countries have banned the other from using its airspace and have ordered the other to reduce its diplomatic staff in their respective capitals.
The diplomatic stand-off and military build-up follow an attack on the parliament building in New Delhi earlier this month that left 14 people dead.
That attack was carried out by an Islamic militant group, Lashkar-e-Tayyaba, which has been fighting against Indian rule in Muslim Kashmir for 12 years. India has accused Pakistan of harbouring, financing and training the group.
