Neil Warnock has resigned as Sheffield United manager, according to Sky Sports News.
Blades plc chairman Kevin McCabe called a press conference for 11am today where Warnock’s departure was expected to be announced.
Warnock failed to prevent the club’s relegation to the Championship on Sunday when his side were beaten 2-1 by Wigan.
Had Warnock kept his side in the Premiership he would have been offered a reported £750,000 deal, making him the lowest paid top-flight boss.
That figure was reduced to around £450,000 after relegation.
