Ireland manager Steve Staunton has announced a 29-man squad for the friendly match with Chile in just over two weeks' time.

Andy Reid is back in the squad after missing the Sweden match in March through injury, while Shelbourne's Jason Byrne also returns after earning his first cap against Poland in 2004.

Elsewhere, Spurs' Terry Dixon has been called up to the senior panel after impressing during the recent UEFA Under-17 Championships, but Stephen Carr is absent due to injury.

The squad is due to travel to Portugal for a training camp four days ahead of the Lansdowne Road friendly on May 24th.
