O'Shea to start for Rebel footballers
Paddy O'Shea is set to make his first championship start for Cork in Sunday's Munster SFC semi-final against Tipperary at Limerick's Gaelic Grounds, throw-in at 3.30pm.
Goalkeeper O'Shea, who hails from the St Vincent's club, will don the Cork number 1 jersey, stepping in for the injured Alan Quirke.
Regular net minder Quirke dislocated his shoulder during the second half of Cork's 2-14 to 0-7 Munster championship win over Limerick, ten days ago.
O'Shea's promotion is the only change Rebels boss Billy Morgan has made to the team that comprehensively defeated Limerick.
Under-21 stars Fintan Goold and Daniel Goulding have to be content with places on the bench, along with Dermot Hurley and Kevin O'Sullivan.
Nicholas Murphy, who has recovered from the knock he sustained last time out, will partner Derek Kavanagh in midfield.
Sunday's clash is the first Munster SFC meeting between Cork and Tipperary since the 2002 Munster final replay which the Rebels won by 1-23 to 0-7. Cork have won 28 of the sides' 42 previous championship encounters.
