Shaun Wright-Phillips misses Manchester City’s Barclays Premier League match at Portsmouth tomorrow as he starts a three-match ban imposed retrospectively by the FA for his kick at Rory Delap during the defeat at Stoke at the end of January.
City boss Mark Hughes, who was disappointed Wright-Phillips ended up with the same punishment as Delap after he was sent-off for kicking the ball at the grounded City winger, may hand a start to Elano at Fratton Park.
Captain Richard Dunne continues his four-match ban, while Daniel Sturridge, Benjani, Martin Petrov and Valeri Bojinov remain sidelined.
