New air route forged between UK and Angola

Tickets go on sale tomorrow for the first-ever UK-Angola air service.

Tickets go on sale tomorrow for the first-ever UK-Angola air service.

British Airways will start weekly services to the Angolan capital Luanda from November 1.

Flights, using Boeing 777 aircraft, will depart from London’s Heathrow airport on a Friday and return on a Saturday.

The start of services follows extensive negotiations with the Angolan government and the Angolan national carrier, TAG.

“We are delighted to be introducing the first-ever scheduled service between the UK and Angola,” said BA’s Africa regional director Alan Burnett.
