A Florida woman says she was tricked into telling a radio audience details of her sex life.

Adreinne Breidigan claims she was phoned at home by a presenter from a radio station in Fort Myers, who was posing as a doctor.

Presenter Bruce Perry allegedly told her she had been exposed by an ex-boyfriend to an incurable sexually transmitted disease.

Before realising it was a trick Ms Breidigan says she revealed details of her sex life, which the station broadcast. She also says it revealed her full name.

According to naplesnews.com she is suing the WBTT 105.5 radio. She says she is furious, upset and publicly humiliated by the prank.

She cried when the disc jockey told her she had been exposed to a potentially life-threatening disease, which he refused to specify.

The prank had been prompted by a friend who provided the station with personal information about Ms Breidigan.

The station is defending itself against the legal action, claiming listeners would have known it wasn't serious.
