Trocaire has condemned Ireland's newly formed relationship with Burma.

Trocaire has condemned Ireland's newly formed relationship with Burma.

The charity group says it is "shocked" the Government has officially established relations with the country and is calling on them to immediately reverse the decision.

Director of Trocaire, Justin Kilcullen, says it is giving legitimacy to a military dictatorship renowned for oppression, torture and slave labour.
