First Division West Brom were boosted by the return of key defender Darren Moore for their FA Cup quarter-final with Fulham at The Hawthorns.

Moore had missed the previous five matches with a thigh problem but came through a late fitness test and replaced Tony Butler at the heart of the defence.

Otherwise it was an unchanged side for the Baggies who were looking to reach their first semi-final for 20 years.

Fulham, whose last quarter-final appearance was 27 years ago, were looking to Steve Marlet and Louis Saha to prevent them becoming the third Premiership side to tumble to West Brom in this season’s competition.

Sunderland and Leicester have already fallen by the wayside to Gary Megson’s men.

West Brom: Hoult, Sigurdsson, Moore, Gilchrist, Balis, Adam Chambers, McInnes, Johnson, Clement, Dobie, Dichio.

Subs: Adamson, Butler, Fox, Taylor, Jordao.

Fulham: Van der Sar, Finnan, Melville, Goma, Brevett, Boa Morte, Collins, Legwinski, Malbranque, Marlet, Saha.

Subs: Taylor, Harley, Hayles, Goldbaek, Ouaddou.

Referee: N Barry (Scunthorpe)
