Jay sets BRITs date
Jay-Z will perform at the BRITs.
The ’99 Problems’ rapper has been confirmed as one of the highest-profile performers at this year’s ceremony, which will take place at London's Earls Court on February 16.
Jay-Z has also been nominated for two awards in the International Male Solo Artist and International Album categories for his LP 'The Blueprint 3'.
Jay-Z will following in a long line of international superstars to take to the stage at the renowned UK ceremony - including his wife Beyonce Knowles, Prince and Kanye West, who was joined on stage by a troop of gold-painted female dancers in 2006.
The evening is set to be a star-studded event as the music industry’s biggest stars will turn out to watch the ceremony.
‘Fight For This Love’ singer Cheryl Cole and Lily Allen – who received three nominations yesterday - have also been confirmed to perform.
Lady Gaga, Florence and the Machine, Pixie Lott and boy band JLS also received nods in three categories, while Dizzee Rascal, Paolo Nutini, La Roux, Empire of the Sun and Animal Collective are all up for two gongs.
