The High Court has adjourned a legal challenge to the construction of a hazardous waste incinerator in Cork Harbour for three weeks.
Eleven residents of the area appeared before the court this morning to seek leave to appeal An Bord Pleanala’s decision to approve the controversial incinerator project, against the advice of a senior planning inspector.
Indaver Ireland was granted permission to build the incinerator in the Ringaskiddy area despite the inspector advising that the scheme be rejected on 14 grounds.
