Captain Ger "Redser" O'Grady has been left out of the Tipperary hurling team to take on Kilkenny in Sunday's NHL Division One semi-final (Semple Stadium, throw-in 3.15pm).
O'Grady's place at left corner forward has been taken by Under-21 star Darragh Egan in the only change to the side that beat Offaly by 2-21 to 3-14 last weekend.
Kildangan clubman Egan came on as a substitute for O'Grady in the win over Offaly and impressed. He made his competitive debut for Tipp in last year's National League, scoring 1-1 from full-forward against Down.
Tipp and Kilkenny have already met in Thurles in this year's League campaign with Kilkenny, NHL champions in 2002, 2003 and 2005, winning easily by 0-19 to 0-10.
