The IFA have been backed by 700 beet growers to continue negotiations with Irish Sugar on the basis of recommendations by government appointed mediator Paddy Teahon.

The IFA have been backed by 700 beet growers to continue negotiations with Irish Sugar on the basis of recommendations by government appointed mediator Paddy Teahon.

IFA president Tom Parlon said the mood of the meeting of beet growers in Cahir, Tipperary was one of determination to end the 19-day dispute.
