Wenger vows to field strong line-up

Arsenal will not be holding back in tomorrow’s FA Cup fourth-round tie at home to Wolves as Arsene Wenger confirmed that Thierry Henry and Patrick Vieira would both start.

Robert Pires and Dennis Bergkamp may be rested ahead of next Tuesday’s clash against Manchester United.

However, while Kolo Toure is suspended and Philippe Senderos is injured, Wenger will otherwise send out a strong line-up against Glenn Hoddle’s side.

“I take the FA Cup seriously. Every season, we go for three trophies and we do not yet have to choose between them,” he declared.

“Thierry Henry will start, as will Patrick Vieira. I will rest Dennis Bergkamp because he is not as young as the other players and maybe Robert Pires as well.

“But we have not played in midweek and it is good to achieve and win games. What you have gained from resting and not winning is difficult to measure.”

Freddie Ljungberg will return after a hamstring injury, while Jose Antonio Reyes and Robin van Persie could also be included and Jens Lehmann will temporarily replace Manuel Almunia in goal.

However, Jermaine Pennant, who could move to Birmingham on loan next week, and Edu, who is in talks with Valencia, are not expected to feature in the squad.

PROVISIONAL SQUAD: Lehmann, Almunia, Lauren, Hoyte, Eboue, Cole, Clichy, Campbell, Cygan, Vieira, Fabregas, Flamini, Pires, Reyes, Ljungberg, van Persie, Henry.
