Chris Kirkland was brought back into Wigan starting line-up for tonight’s derby at Bolton.

The former Liverpool man returned recently from a loan spell at Leicester and was given the gloves due to Ali Al-Habsi being ineligible to face the Trotters under the terms of his loan.

Paul Robinson returned to Bolton’s starting line-up after a one-match ban.

The left-back replaced Marcos Alonso in the only change to the side that lost 2-1 at Liverpool on New Year’s Day.

Bolton: Jaaskelainen, Ricketts, Knight, Cahill, Robinson, Moreno, Muamba, Mark Davies, Taylor, Kevin Davies, Elmander.

Subs: Bogdan, Petrov, Blake, Alonso.
