Man charged in connection with Galway drugs seizure

A 32-year-old man has been remanded in custody charged in connection with a major drugs seizure in Co Galway over the weekend.

A 32-year-old man has been remanded in custody charged in connection with a major drugs seizure in Co Galway over the weekend.

Lim Chun Wan, of no fixed abode, appeared before a special sitting of Galway District Court today.

His arrest followed a search of a house in Cummer, in Tuam on Saturday evening where €280,000 worth of cannabis plants were discovered.

Lim Chun Wan was later arrested by gardaí and questioned at Mill Street garda station.

At Galway District Court today, he was remanded in custody to appear before Harristown District Court on Friday.
