Co Louth man pleads not guilty to murder of infant

A Co Louth man today pleaded not guilty to the murder of his infant nephew in Drogheda, almost two years ago, when he was arraigned at the Central Criminal Court.

A Co Louth man today pleaded not guilty to the murder of his infant nephew in Drogheda, almost two years ago, when he was arraigned at the Central Criminal Court.

David Brennan, aged 20, of Marsh Road, Drogheda, is charged with the murder of 17-month-old Jack Everitt Brennan on a date between 29 February and March 1, 2000 at or near Marsh Road.

The trial will begin this afternoon before Mr Justice Carney and a jury of eight men and four women.
