Rosicky on course: Agent

Tomas Rosicky’s agent maintains the recovery of the Arsenal winger is “going according to the plan”.

Rosicky, 28, has been beset by a series of niggling injuries since his £7m move to Emirates Stadium from Borussia Dortmund in May 2006.

The midfielder limped out of the Barclays Premier League clash with Newcastle at the Emirates Stadium in January and has not featured since, also missing Euro 2008 because of the hamstring-related problem.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger admits it is very difficult to say just when the Czech winger will be fit for action again – but remains hopeful it will be before the end of the year.

However, reports the problems were more serious, even career-threatening, and required further direct medical treatments have been dismissed out of hand by the player’s agent.

“What appeared about Tomas being hospitalised in London is complete nonsense,” Rosicky’s representative Pavel Paska told Czech newspaper Denik Sport.

“Tomas, as part of his recovery scheme, visits the hospital for various therapies and the same happened last time.

“A sudden setback in his health or some headaches, as I have read about somewhere, have not happened to Tomas.

“Everything is going according to the plan. Tomas’ first comeback was rash, now we are treating the situation more carefully.”

Paska added: “The recovery will be long-term.

“The team of specialists that cares for Tomas, has been enlarged by another specialist which means the player will be cared for at the best level.”

With nearly all his first-team squad away on international duty, Wenger will be hoping for no fresh injury problems when the squad returns to London Colney ahead of the Premier League game against Everton.

Forward Robin van Persie is scheduled to play for Holland in Norway after recovering from a hamstring strain.

Having missed large chunks of the last campaign, Van Persie noted: “When I was injured before at Arsenal I made the error of coming back to training too quickly, I am not making the same mistake twice.

“I feel very good and in the last few days I have done some tough training sessions and all the tests have been positive.”

Arsenal captain William Gallas has been nursing a thigh problem which ruled him out of contention for France against Romania.

However, back in Hertfordshire, both Samir Nasri and defender Mikael Silvestre - yet to make his debut after signing from Manchester United – have been building up their fitness, along with central midfielder Abou Diaby who is expected to be in contention for a first appearance of the season for the visit of Everton.

Bacary Sagna is expected to miss France’s friendly with Tunisia because of a knee problem.
