The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, has denied that the Government plans to revise the National Development Plan because of the downturn in the Irish economy.
Last week, Finance Minister Charlie McCreevy said that some government-sponsored projects will have to be scaled down or postponed because of the impending recession.
However, Mr Ahern told the Dail today that no decisions have been made regarding the NDP, which will cost the Irish taxpayer an estimated £40bn.
