Sinn Féin leader Gerry Adams has held talks with Northern Secretary Paul Murphy in Belfast as efforts continue to revive the stalled Irish peace process.
Sinn Féin’s Alec Maskey, who also attended the meeting, said afterwards that his party had raised concerns about the North’s Human Rights Commission, its Equality Commission and the Peter McBride case.
Mr Murphy is also due to meet SDLP leader Mark Durkan and anti-agreement UK Unionist Party leader Robert McCartney later today.
The recent spate of talks between the political players in the North has led to speculation that Assembly elections could be held this autumn.
However, all sides have insisted that such speculation is unhelpful, with many differences still unresolved.
