Dickson Etuhu, Bobby Zamora and Simon Davies replaced Jonathan Greening, Erik Nevland and Kagisho Dikgacoi.

Burnley, still looking for their first away win of the season, made one change from the side that beat West Ham at home at the weekend with David Edgar was preferred to Robbie Blake, who dropped to the substitute’s bench.

Fulham: Schwarzer, Shorey, Hangeland, Hughes, Baird, Duff, Etuhu, Murphy, Davies, Elm, Zamora. Subs: Zuberbuhler, Kelly, Okaka, Nevland, Riise, Smalling, Greening.

Burnley: Jensen, Mears, Carlisle, Cort, Edgar, Elliott, Bikey, McDonald, Fox, Fletcher, Nugent.

Subs: Weaver, Duff, Paterson, Blake, Thompson, Eagles, Cork.
