Casey named captain for Churchill Cup

London Irish captain Bob Casey has been named captain of the Ireland A team for the upcoming Churchill Cup to take place in Canada and the USA in June.

London Irish captain Bob Casey has been named captain of the Ireland A team for the upcoming Churchill Cup to take place in Canada and the USA in June.

The fiv-times capped full International is part of the Ireland senior squad that will play against the Barbarians on May 27.

Following that game, Casey will join up with the rest of the 28-man squad before they depart for Canada, where they will face the USA in their first game on June 11.

There is also an addition to the coaching team for the Churchill Cup, with former Ireland scrum-half Dave O'Mahony named as assistant coach for the tournament.
