Jerry Flannery has returned to the Munster squad ahead of tomorrow’s Magners League meeting with Ulster in Thomond Park. (kick-off 7.30pm)

Flannery has had dreadful luck with injuries in 2010; the dynamic hooker has struggled with a persistent calf injury for the most part, but the Shannon man has been included for the New Year’s Day battle with Ulster.

Ronan O’Gara is rested so Paul Warwick switches from full back to out half to partner Peter Stringer at half back with Scott Deasy filling the number fifteen slot.

Young lock Ian Nagle starts alongside Mick O’Driscoll in the second row with Donnacha Ryan moving to blindside in place of Alan Quinlan who suffered a dislocated elbow last Monday night against Connacht.

Meanwhile, Ulster coach Brian McLaughlin has named his side for the trip to Limerick.

Rory Best returns from the fractured cheekbone injury he sustained during the Autumn International series to captain a much changed side.

Following last Monday's defeat to Leinster, McLaughlin has rung the changes.

Jamie Smith replaces Adam D’Arcy at full back while Ian Whitten and exciting young centre Luke Marshall come into the three-quarter line.

Paul Marshall partners Paddy Wallace at half-back while Bryan Young and Declan Fitzpatrick come into the front row.
