Firefighters in Co Louth are tackling a major blaze at a pub in Omeath this morning.

The alarm was raised just after 6am and six units of the Dundalk Fire Service were sent to the scene.

The Newry to Omeath road has been closed on the approach to Omeath as a result of the blaze.

Meanwhile, a huge fire is also burning at a car tyre depot in Derry this morning.

Residents near the Pennyburn Industrial Estate are being urged to stay inside and shut their doors and windows.
