UCD jump to seventh place in Eircom League

UCD 2 Bray Wanderers 0

Second half goals from substitutes Derek Doyle and Connor Sammon saw UCD leapfrog Bray up to seventh place in the Premier Division table with a second win on the spin.

The lead goal on 59 minutes was all Doyle's own making as he burst past two tame tackles to get through on goal before drilling the ball low past keeper Steve Williams for his second strike of the season.

Williams saved well with his feet minutes later as Paul Byrne also found it easy to race past the sluggish Bray defence.

Bray upped their game late on and almost levelled on 80 minutes when Andrei Georgescu's flick header from Alan Calwey's free-kick hit the outside of a post.

But College had the final save five minutes into stopapge time when Sammon ran through onto goalkeeper Matt Gregg's long clearnce to shoot past Williams.
