Nine men were arrested today in a major new PSNI anti-drugs offensive.

Nine men were arrested today in a major new PSNI anti-drugs offensive.

The men were detained in south east Antrim, Mid Ulster, and Ballymena, Co Antrim.

Police said the operation, which involved uniformed officers as well as drug squad detectives, was mounted to tackle the sale, supply and distribution of class A drugs.

All nine men are being questioned at Antrim.
