Netwatch Ireland announces 50 new jobs in Newry

Netwatch Ireland is to create 50 new jobs in Co down over the next three years.

The risk management company, which is headquartered in Carlow, will open an office in Newry and will employ 15 people initially, with up to 50 people being employed there over the next three years.

Wendy Hamilton, Chief Operations Officer, Netwatch Ireland said: “Netwatch is providing mission critical services to companies around the globe which ensure they are protected against major incidents, such as a terror attack and more importantly that they can continue to operate their businesses in the event of a major incident whether accidental or as a result of a deliberate act against the company.

"We will double the size of our business in the next three years. We chose Newry because it is an ideal location for us and we have received excellent support from Invest NI. The Newry monitoring and disaster recovery hub will initially target the motor dealer industry in the US as well as high net worth individuals in Africa, both key markets for our services."

Netwatch employs 160 people at its global headquarters in Carlow and in sales offices in the UK and the USA.
