Wales full-back Leigh Halfpenny has been ruled out of Saturday's NatWest 6 Nations clash against England at Twickenham.
The Welsh Rugby Union confirmed Halfpenny's absence. He missed training on Friday, with some reports suggesting he was suffering from a foot infection.
He will be replaced in the number 15 shirt by Cardiff Blues' Gareth Anscombe, with Ospreys centre Owen Watkin moving on to the bench instead of Anscombe.
Halfpenny, who has won 75 caps, produced a blistering performance during last weekend's 34-7 victory over Scotland, scoring 24 points.
It will be 26-year-old Anscombe's 13th cap, but his full Six Nations debut. He has made four previous Test starts as a full-back, while he has also featured in the fly-half position.
Halfpenny's absence is the latest major injury blow to hit Wales, having gone into the Six Nations campaign without senior players like Sam Warburton, Jonathan Davies, Taulupe Faletau, Dan Biggar and Rhys Webb.
