Chelsea midfielder Joe Cole was handed a place in the team for tonight’s Champions League Group H clash against Paris St Germain at Stamford Bridge, where record signing Didier Drogba featured in the squad for the first time since October 3 following his groin problem.

The summer signing was named among the substitutes, along with skipper John Terry who was carrying a slight neck injury.

As expected, Blues boss Jose Mourinho picked Carlo Cudicini in goal, with youngster Lenny Pidgeley on the bench and regular Petr Cech rested.

With Chelsea already through to the next stage, there were seven changes from the side which drew 2-2 against Bolton in the Barclays Premiership on Saturday.

Alexei Smertin, Glen Johnson, Mateja Kezman, Wayne Bridge and Scott Parker were the others coming in.

PSG, still in with a chance of snatching second place in the group ahead of CSKA Moscow, were still without injured striker Daniel Ljuboja, so Portuguese forward Pauleta was set to lead their attack.
