All-Ireland SHC champions Kilkenny have unsurprisingly topped the list of nominations for the 2011 GAA-GPA Hurling All-Stars, with 14 of the side shortlisted for awards.
Former Hurlers of the Year Tommy Walsh, Henry Shefflin, Eoin Larkin and JJ Delaney are all nominated, as are Jackie Tyrrell, Noel Hickey, Brian Hogan, Michael Fennelly, Richie Power, Michael Rice and Richie Hogan
The Cats trio of David Herity, Paul Murphy and Colin Fennelly have been nominated for their first awards, while 2010 Hurler of the Year Lar Corbett is one of 10 Tipperary players on the shortlist.
Goalkeeper Brendan Cummins and defenders Paul Curran, Michael Cahill, Padraic Maher and Conor O'Mahony are also nominated for awards.
Meanwhile, the Premier County are also represented by Gearoid Ryan, Patrick Maher, Noel McGrath, Lar Corbett and Eoin Kelly on the shortlist.
Tipperary native Ryan O'Dwyer is one of 10 Dublin players shortlisted for awards. He is joined by fellow Metropolitans Gary Maguire, Niall Corcoran, Peter Kelly, Joey Boland, Shane Durkin, Liam Rushe, Johnny McCaffrey, Conal Keaney and Paul Ryan.
Beaten Munster finalists Waterford have six nominees, with Michael Walsh, Tony Browne, Kevin Moran, Pauric Mahony, Shane Walsh and John Mullane all in contention.
Meanwhile, Limerick have three nominees - Tom Condon, Donal O'Grady and Declan Hannon - and David Collins and Joe Canning are Galway's sole representatives.
The Hurling All-Stars team, along with the winners of the Player of the Year awards, will be announced at the banquet event at the Convention Centre in Dublin on Friday October 21.
The Hurler of the Month award winners from May to September were also confirmed today.
Dublin's Conal Keaney received the May award. Tipperary duo Pádraic Maher and Lar Corbett were honoured for June and July respectively, while the performances of Michael Fennelly (August) and Tommy Walsh (September) of Kilkenny were also recognised.
