Middlesbrough defender Colin Cooper has joined the growing list of injuries at the Riverside and is out of tomorrow’s north-east derby against Newcastle at St James’ Park.
Cooper sustained a hip injury during Saturday’s 4-0 home win over West Brom in the Barclays Premiership, and is among 11 first-team players on the sidelines.
Joseph Job, Gaizka Mendieta, Chris Riggott and Tony McMahon (all knee), Mark Viduka (hamstring), Michael Reiziger (ankle), Mark Schwarzer (back), James Morrison (hernia), Malcolm Christie (foot) and Stuart Parnaby (groin) are also out.
