Two men killed in Wicklow road collision

Three people have died in two separate road accidents this morning in Co Wicklow and Limerick city.

Three people have died in two separate road accidents this morning in Co Wicklow and Limerick city.

Gardaí say two men were killed on the N11 in Co Wicklow during a collision between two cars at Ballinameesda bends.

The accident happened between the Beehive and the Taps pubs just after 8.30am.

The road has been closed and motorists are being diverted onto other routes.

In Limerick, meanwhile, diversions are also in place on the city's bypass after a woman in her 60s died when her car collided with a truck.

The accident happened at Boraheen at around 7.30am.
