Aston Villa are without Scotland forward Shaun Maloney for tomorrow’s Barclays Premiership clash against Sheffield United.

Maloney has an ankle injury, which he suffered after scoring his first goal for Villa in last weekend’s 2-0 win at Manchester City.

Maloney had started that game on the bench and Villa manager Martin O’Neill is set to retain the starting line-up against City for the visit of United. Ashley Young is again likely to be preferred to the more experienced Patrik Berger on the left-hand side of midfield.

Team (from): Sorensen, Bardsley, Mellberg, Laursen, Bouma, Gardner, Petrov, Barry, Young, Carew, Agbonlahor, Taylor, Cahill, Moore, Berger, Davis, Hughes.
