Captain Bob Casey will travel, but not play, with the London Irish squad to play Leinster at Donnybrook on Friday.
The talented squad of 25, containing 14 full internationals, includes All Black Clarke Dermody and England's Delon Armitage.
Coach Toby Booth said: "With the start date for both the Guinness Premiership and Magners League just over a week away, both teams are focused on getting their seasons up and running successfully. This is an important match as it provides the final opportunity to test combinations and plans in a real match situation.
"We’re delighted to get the chance to play the current Heineken Cup champions at home, although I’ve no doubt Friday’s match will be very different to the one that will take place when the two teams meet in Dublin in this season’s premier European tournament on 9th October."
