Tipperary football manager John Evans has made four changes to his side for this Saturday's All-Ireland SFC qualifier against Louth, at Drogheda.

Paul Fitzgerald, Conor Morrissey, Brian Jones and James Tierney are all omitted from the side which lost to Limerick in the Munster SFC in May, with Ciaran McDonald, Robbie Costigan, Kevin Mulryan and Matthew O'Donnell added to the side.

O'Donnell is a surprise inclusion and replaces Paul Fitzgerald between the posts.

The Killenaule clubman is the current Tipperary U21 dual sub goalkeeper and has been a regular sub goalkeeper with the senior footballers for the past two years.

He played for the Tipperary senior footballers in their final group stages game against Longford in the Allianz NFL earlier this year.

Meanwhile McDonald and Costigan both return from injury while Kevin Mulryan gains a starting position at midfield.

Saturday's game is the second meeting of these sides in the GAA All-Ireland Senior Football Championship. The counties got the qualifiers underway in 2001, with an afternoon throw-in at Clonmel, where the visitors won by 0-13 to 1-8.

More recently the teams met earlier this year in the Allianz NFL with Tipperary taking a 0-18 to 1-11 win in the Division 3 encounter last March.
