A young man has died in a road collision in Co Cavan.
The collision, involving a truck and a car, occurred on the N3 at Drumcrauve on Monday morning.
The man, a passenger aged in his 20s, was fatally injured.
The driver of the vehicle, a woman aged in her 20s, was taken to Cavan General Hospital for treatment. Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
No other injuries have been reported from the incident.
The roads remains closed with diversions in place while a forensic examination is carried out at the scene.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
