Derry Girls star Saoirse-Monica Jackson has landed a role in upcoming DC film The Flash.
Saoirse made her name as one of the lead characters in smash-hit show Derry Girls, she played Erin Quinn.

She will star alongside the likes of Ben Affleck and Ron Livingston in the comic book adaption, which is due for release in November 2022.
It is not yet known what role the Derry native will play in the film.
It's based on superhero 'The Flash', who uses his superpower (speed) to save the world.
The 27-year-old will star again in the third seasons of Derry Girls, which will resume filming this year after a delay due to Covid-19 restrictions.
