A police helicopter crew in England captured on camera the moment a man got down on bended knee surrounded by the illuminated message: “Will you marry me?”
Metropolitan Police Service officers were flying to carry out routine duties at Heathrow Airport when they came across the imaginative proposal on Saturday night.
The words “Will you marry me?” were spelled out on the ground in Gladstone Park, Dollis Hill, north-west London, with what were believed to have been candles.
In a stroke of luck, the crew captured the exact moment the mystery man got down on bended knee to pop his question – but whether he got the answer he was looking for remains unanswered.
The MPSinthesky Twitter account tweeted: “We think we have just seen the most romantic guy in north London.”
