Shamrock Rovers 1 Odra Wodzislaw 0
(Rovers win 3-1 on aggregate)
Glen Fitzpatrick rubberstamped Rovers' passage through to the second round of the InterToto Cup with a second half winner.
Fitzpatrick was left all alone on the back post for Tony Grant - Rovers' first leg matchwinner in Poland - to get to the end line onto Stephen Grant's pass to pick him out.
Odra almost levelled on the day four minutes later but Marcin Mowacki's free kick came back off the bar.
While Odra had much of the ball they failed to punish Rovers' sloppy start with Terry Palmer making a superb saving tackle on Bartlomiej Socha.
Despite not passing the ball well at all, Rovers were dangerous when they got forward and Alan Reynolds forced the save of the first half from Marcin Beben with a diving header on 30 minutes.
Rovers now meet Slovan Liberec in the second round, with the first leg in the Czech Republic next Sunday.
