Dublin accident leaves one dead

A man who was critically injured in a road accident overnight has died.

A man who was critically injured in a road accident overnight has died.

He was the front-seat passenger in a car which struck a ditch at abut 4am today.

The victim was a 29-year-old man from North Dublin. The other two passengers are thought not to have life-threatening injuries.

The body of the man killed in the accident has now been taken to Beaumont hospital.

The single vehicle accident occurred outside the golf club at Oldtown Road, St Margaret's, on the Northside of Dublin just before 4am.

The driver, a male, was removed to the Mater with minor injuries and a female passenger received slight injuries and was not taken to hospital.
