The Green Party will launch proposals to overhaul funding for education later today.

The Green Party will launch proposals to overhaul funding for education later today.

The plans include increased computer grants and the establishment of new regional structures designed to target investment more effectively.

Green Party education spokesperson, Paul Gogarty said they plan to increase funding per pupil for primary and secondary schools from €46 to €100 each.

They are also pledging to abolish VAT on expenditure from money collected through fundraising.

The party has also called on prospective coalition partners to reveal their education plans.
