Teenager due in court in connection with Drogheda attack

A 19-year-old man is due to appear in court this afternoon in connection with the death of a man in Drogheda, Co Louth.

A 19-year-old man is due to appear in court this afternoon in connection with the death of a man in Drogheda, Co Louth.

41-year-old Des Kimmins died after an incident at a house in Rathmullan Park in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Gardaí in Drogheda are also continuing their investigation into the death of 29-year-old Darren McKeown.

He died last Saturday after suffering serious head injuries during an attack on St Stephen’s Day.

Five people were arrested in connection with the incident but were all released without charge.
