The Department of Foreign Affairs is offering consular assistance to the family of an Irish man missing in Rome.

27-year-old Vincent Thomas Wall is understood to have fallen into the River Tiber on Friday night.

It is believed Mister Wall, who was out with friends at the time, had been due to get married in a few weeks time.
