Kenny in Brussels for Treaty meetings

Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny will travel to Brussels today for a series of meetings about the upcoming referendum on the Lisbon Treaty.

Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny will travel to Brussels today for a series of meetings about the upcoming referendum on the Lisbon Treaty.

Mr Kenny will meet with the President of the European Commission, Jose Manuel Barroso, and with the Commissioner for Agriculture, Mariann Fischer Boel.

The Fine Gael Leader, who is an elected Vice President of the European People’s Party (EPP), will brief his colleagues on Fine Gael’s referendum campaign in a series of meetings with the EPP President Wilfried Martens and EPP Group’s treaty monitoring committee.

A date for the Lisbon Treaty referendum is expected in the coming weeks.
