Lithuanian man goes before Cavan District Court

A 46-year-old Lithuanian man has appeared before a special sitting of Cavan District Court in relation to the death of another Lithuanian man in Cootehill on Friday.

A 46-year-old Lithuanian man has appeared before a special sitting of Cavan District Court in relation to the death of another Lithuanian man in Cootehill on Friday.

Algimantas Stankevius of Bridge Street in Cootehill appeared before Kingscourt District Court this afternoon.

He was remanded in custody to re-appear at Cavan District Court on Thursday at eleven o’clock. Mr Stankevius is an employee at a co-op poultry products factory in Cootehill.
